Flight of the Intrepid

The alien Drechnai spring an ambush designed to finish their fifty-year war against humanity, shattering the bulk of Earth's fleet in one blow. Now only the Star Carrier Intrepid stands between the human race and utter annihilation!

A perfect series for fans of Battlestar Galactica, this story explores a similar scenario - but this time, it's Earth in the alien crosshairs!

Flight of the Intrepid 1: Ambush

For fifty years, humanity has stood its ground against the Drechnai. Tyrants of the first order, these beings have wiped out over a dozen spacefaring races, and they've done everything in their power to make humanity the next.

But for those fifty years, humans have scraped out a desperate battle for survival, relying on determination, tenacity, and raw courage to overcome our foe's impossible technological advantage. Fifty years of constant war has honed our species into a deadly blade.

Without warning, the enemy sued for peace. But Captain George Oliver doesn't trust them at their word, believing that this is some new deceit. Despite his misgivings, Earth's fleet goes to sign a peace accord with the Drechnai.

It's a trap! The human fleet is attacked, leaving Oliver's vessel the sole Star Carrier still intact and able to defend Earth against the strike Oliver knows is coming.

He's not wrong. The Drechnai intend to finish humans off once and for all time, their master stroke dealing death blows to both the fleet and Earth itself.

But they failed to factor in the men and women of the Star Carrier Intrepid, who will pay whatever price is required for the human race to survive!

Flight of the Intrepid 2: Burning Skies

Earth is dying.

An alien assault has left the planet devastated, and the fires still burn. Billions are dead. The fleet is gone. What little remains of humanity clings to survival aboard a handful of ships sheltering in the shadow of the last Star Carrier still flying.

Admiral George Oliver has faced impossible odds before. He's clawed victory from the jaws of defeat more times than any man should have to. But this time, there may be no victory to be had—only survival, and even that is far from certain.

While the Intrepid's crew scrambles to pull survivors from a wounded Earth, Oliver knows the Drechnai aren't finished. They've invested everything in this attack. They won't stop until nothing is left of humanity but ashes and memory.

He's not wrong. The enemy is already there.

Hidden forces prepare to strike while humanity is still reeling from the earlier assault. If left unopposed, they could devastate what little remains of Earth's infrastructure and put a stop to the Admiral's desperate plans to save humans from complete annihilation. But the enemy hasn't accounted for humans' fighting spirit.

The Drechnai may want humanity extinct, but the men and women of the Intrepid have other ideas!
